sequencing
mini-series
subtle & skillful sequencing
a free mini-series
My intention with this mini-series is to show that you can practice in a way that consistently, and elegantly, supports your meditation practice, but is also flexible enough to be responsive to the fluctuating circumstances of your life.
DAY one
AN INTRODUCTION TO THE MINI-SERIES

Swami Vivekananda once gave a speech that centered on the theme:
‘Many paths, one destination.’
It's a concept that's as relevant today as it ever was. We’re all searching for a sense of meaning and balance, yet each of us is unique. We have unique lifestyles, temperaments and needs, so, unsurprisingly a one-size-fits-all model of practice doesn’t work.
But how do we honour our uniqueness and also explore our sameness and connection?
Let's explore together...
AN INTRODUCTION TO THE classes
The classes in this mini-series all explore the same theme, all have the same peak pose, and all lead to the same pranayama and meditation but the pathway they take there is slightly different. Today's practice is a slow flow, and in the coming day's we'll explore a traditional hatha class and a yin-style practice, to experience the subtle energetic effect that skillful sequencing has on poses and practices.
SLOW FLOW PRACTICE
In the first class of this series the focus is on alignment of the spine, full body relaxation, and resilience through a constant connection with the breath.
PRANAYAMA & MEDITATION PRACTICE
All the classes in this mini-series will lead to this same pranayama and meditation, but the pathway we'll take there will be slightly different each day. Take note of how you feel after each class, as we'll explore this in the final day's debrief videos.
Check your emails tomorrow for access to the practices for part two of this mini-series.
As always, I’d love to hear what you think of today’s practice, so, once you’ve finished I’d love for you to send me a note letting me know what resonated most for you. Email or DM me @karina.guthrie on Instagram.
Much love,
Karina
